Kirsty Allpress [Goudie] ANZAMD

Born into a dancing family, Kirsty first appeared on stage in competitions and productions at age 4, this beginning a love for dance and theatre. Competing in Tap, Jazz, Highland and also training in Ballet, Rock n Roll, Ballroom, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop [and any other dance style she could join in on] her love of Dance and Musical Theatre was found. Completing Examonations in New Zealand Association of Modern Dance in both Tap and Jazz with Distinction, and gaining her Diploma for teaching and dance from the New Zealand Academy of Highland and National Dance Teaching dance became her passion. Kirsty has performed in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Westend to Broadway 2 and 3, 42nd Street, Fiddler on the Roof, Grease and Beauty and the Beast as well as corporate cabarets.
Kirsty has held the position of Co-ordinator of Dance at the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA) since 2006, there her Choreography has included: Oklahoma, Side Show, 42nd Street, Curtains, Music Man, Cats, Guys and Dolls, and Finale 2007 – 2010. Kirsty has been working with Team Showcase [Australian National Dance Championships] for a number of years and regularly takes students over to compete. Kirsty is currently the President of Garden City Tappers & Performing Arts Association Inc. which hold the NZ Dance Awards over Queens Birthday and the October Festival of Dance.
